Benign Masochism
Had to share this little chuckle from CNN's "10 ways to find more pleasure in life"

Psychologist Paul Rozin has argued that people get a kick from "benign masochism"--that is, controlled exposure to low-level discomfort (think spicy chili peppers and saunas). Maybe we love the endorphin rush. Or just the delightful contrast when we ultimately escape from the pain. Regardless, it pays to pamper yourself occasionally with a bit--but just a bit--of suffering.
Ya know, I think that'd make a great name for a band ;)
On a personal note, I found #2 a little annoying, since I don't drink. I think I'm going to substitute "Find your local DQ and have a small Reese's® buttercup blizzard" from time to time. Yummmm.
And they didn't put in #11, but I'll add it here. Sun & Vitamin D!

In depth Bon4 review... and then some!
Nope, I'm not reviewing, but I had to post a link to Mistress 160's very in depth review of her sub's experience with the Bon4.
Now I'm posting this review link here for several reasons, most of all the fact that there are not many review out there of this new device. But also because of the sincerity of the authors, and the fact that it is a VERY in depth review & commentary. Normally when someone is given a device for review by a company I am immediately worried of their objectivity. It's easy to get compromised by "free loot" for your words - which is partly why I have always refused when it's been offered.
But, to put it bluntly, her review is not a positive one. What's more, it sheds a very bright light on the issues with the other silicon device "the birdlocked", and their company practices as a whole.
BTW - I personally reviewed (canned?) the Birdlocked in two parts last year: pt 1 & pt 2. My compatriot, Tom reviewed it last year too.
Mistress 160 posts lots of links and quotes from others in the community (even me!) and though it's only officially a review of the Bon4 it sums up to much more than just a detailed & insightful review. It's a good look at behind the scenes within the chastity community as a whole.
I still hope someday that there will be a silicon type ring option. I don't think it'll ever work well for the cage portion - simply because it allows for too much manipulation when heavily lubricated, but I do think it is great to have options. Because one size/shape/style definitely doesn't fit all.

In other news, I killed a palmetto bug the size of a small car late yesterday. The wife and I were cleaning the garage and I realized I was being watched. It went to pull its gun, but I got it with a round kick followed up with chainsaw swipe.
I swear this is true. Anyone who's lived in South Florida can attest to the fact that the Palmetto bug can weigh in at over 600 lbs, and it is the official bird of Miami-Dade county.

Jeanne appeared in one early scenes from this week's episode of HBO series "True Blood" - it was a brief, but she made an impression.
Then again, being a smoking fetishist, whenever a pretty woman smokes on screen it makes an impression. The fact that in just one scene she put out a cigarette and immediately lit up another one (and that's at least a 100mm too) - that's like bonus double score.

Geeez, I'm sick of seeing all these pretty women think that making a duckface is somehow attractive, or maybe sexy. I mean... look at you!!! W.T.F?!? Where did this start? Ok folks... I hear ya. I have now received this link from four different fetish friends over the last 24 hours. So I guess I just *have* to post it.It seems that the New York Times ran a feature this weekend on BodyShapers for men, which are the "next big thing."
As one friend said "Don't call it a corset!" And I never would dare make that mistake. It is however definitely a girdle. If you have to claim it's to "help with back pain" (as one guy in the article says) I'm fine with it. Whatever blows your dress up, as my wife would say ;)
Spanx sales really started taking off once more and more celebs came out as wearing them for extra va-voom. Even as svelte as she is, Gwyneth Paltrow (who wears a size 2 btw,) is said to have worn them. Of course, as girdles have become more mainstream, men have been known to express surprise when a Spanx-compressed woman disrobes in the bedroom only to reveal a less svelte figure. Now women can complain, too. Maybe these pretenders should be punished! Then again, maybe that would just rewarding them ;)
Either way, if you start going around saying "my wife made me wear it," you might just want to start up a FetLife profile.
